THE METRO MASTER GARDENERS ANNOUNCE ANNUAL PLANT SALE
To be held at Mynelle Gardens on April 13, 2013
The Metro Master Gardeners will hold their annual plant sale on April 13, 2013. This plant sale will be held at Mynelle Gardens located at 4736 Clinton Boulevard in Jackson. Hours of the sale are 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
All plants offered for sale at this annual event are propagated by member Master Gardeners from Hinds, Rankin, Madison, and Copiah Counties. Our heirloom perennials, bulbs, rhizomes, tubers, shrubs, trees, and other plants are hardy native and naturalized plants that will continue to do well when planted in this area.
After your plant purchase, the public is invited to enjoy a leisurely stroll through Mynelle Gardens.
The Metro Master Gardeners are a volunteer branch of the Mississippi State Extension Service that advise and educate the public on gardening and horticulture issues. Our member Master Gardeners will also be on hand to answer any of your gardening and plant questions.
Proceeds from the sale go to support our gardening projects located at the Clinton Visitor’s Center, The Clinton Community Nature Center, the Herb Garden at the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum, the Oaks (also known as the Boyd Home) on Jefferson Street in Jackson, Greenwood Cemetery in Jackson, a community garden in midtown Jackson, and various demonstration, educational and scholarship projects in the metro area.
